Funding Opportunities

The growing automotive cluster in the Tennessee Valley is already the fifth largest region in the country for automotive industry employment.

As one of the nation’s twelve designated Manufacturing Communities by the Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership (IMCP), the DRIVE! region is able to advance selected funding proposals to eleven federal agencies with $1.3 billion in economic development funds. To be recommended by DRIVE!, proposals must meet federal agencies’ funding requirements and be aligned with the DRIVE! regional strategy. This process helps assure that recommended projects support both the DRIVE! work plan and funding agencies’ desires to make targeted investments in demonstrably strong public-private partnerships to strengthen regional manufacturing.

Each of the participating federal agencies determine which grant solicitations are eligible for IMCP consideration and decide the funding schedules.
